All of my facials are carefully tailored to meet the unique needs of each client’s skin. If you experience oiliness or breakouts, I will use products specifically designed to target & balance these concerns. For mature skin in need of nourishment, I’ll focus on enhancing hydration & moisture levels. If your skin is sensitive, I’ll select gentle, protective formulas that soothe & restore. Whatever your skin type, your facial will be customised to ensure the best possible results. What is Dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning is a physical exfoliation procedure that uses a sterile, surgical scalpel to gently "shave" the skin's surface. This process removes the top-most layer of dead skin along with fine, vellus "peach fuzz" hair. The result? The smoothest skin you’ve ever had! Who Should Avoid Dermaplaning?

  • Those with an active cold sore.

  • Anyone who has used Accutane/Isotretinoin (acne medication) within the last 12 months.

  • Recent recipients of fillers or chemical peels (wait at least two weeks before treatment).

  • Recent Botox patients (wait at least one week before treatment).

  • Those who have waxed within 3 days prior to treatment.

  • Anyone using Retinol - pause use for 3 to 5 days before your appointment.

  • Anyone who has had excessive sun/tanning beds within a week prior to treatment. Please note, Dermaplaning will remove any fake tan applied prior to treatment. Please avoid using one week prior.

What Should You Expect During Dermaplaning?
A surprisingly relaxing facial! Who knew a scalpel could feel so soothing? The treatment begins with a thorough cleanse to ensure your skin is fresh and free from any residue. Once prepped and completely dry, the targeted areas are gently held taut while a sterile 10-gauge blade is carefully glided at a 45-degree angle using short, precise strokes to remove dead skin cells and fine vellus hair (peach fuzz). The actual Dermaplaning process takes approximately 15 minutes, followed by your chosen Dermaplaning facial for optimal results. Dermaplaning is painless & can be compared to the sensation of shaving your legs - just on your face! Does Dermaplaning Make Hair Grow Back Thicker?
Absolutely not! It’s a common myth that shaving or dermaplaning makes hair grow back thicker or darker. The truth is, hair growth is controlled by hormones, not by shaving. If this is a concern, consider waxing or threading these areas before your treatment.

How Often Can You Have Dermaplaning Done?

Tanning

Bondi Sands Full Body Spray Tan

Before your spray tan: Wax/shave at least 24 hours prior, exfoliate thoroughly to remove dead skin cells & even out skin & arrive with ‘naked skin’ (no make up, deodorant, perfume, moisturisers etc). Wear loose, dark clothing & sandals/flip flops to your appointment.
During tan development: Keep your skin completely dry, avoid water contact & activities which make you perspire & don’t apply any products over the developing tan or any other beauty/hair treatments. Tan takes 8 hours to develop.
After tan has developed: Shower off until water runs clear. Fake tan will not affect the ability to develop a natural tan, PLEASE still apply SPF. Be aware that Chlorine will prematurely fade your tan & it is recommended that 5-7 days after your spray tan you gently exfoliate your skin to ensure your tan fades evenly.
